Open box and unused in the original factory packaging. 2014 Eaglemoss Star Trek: The Official Starships U.S.S. Excelsior NCC-2000 #8 With Magazine. This ship has been painstakingly recreated in die-cast and plastic materials then hand painted with an incredible level of detail. The vehicle also comes with a full color collector magazine. Vehicle measures approximately 5-inches long x 3 1/2-inches wide x 2-inches tall.
The USS Excelsior was called "The Great Experiment" since she was designed with transwarp technology and had the potential to set the speed record for Starfleet. We meet the ship in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock commanded by Captain Styles. After being sabotaged by Scotty and ending up in spacedock, the USS Excelsior is seen in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country with her new captain, Hikaru Sulu on a three-year mission in the Beta Quadrant.
